What is this?
The new iPhone 6S, which is due for release in the next few weeks, will include ForceTouch Technology. With this, app function will be varied depending on the amount of pressure applied to the screen. This was first featured on the Apple Watch and enables the user to essentially ‘right-click’ This function is being used already on other Apple products so why stop with the new iPhone 6S?
Why is this important?
Apple are still making advances and creating more dimension to the IPhone. This will effect future app development in a big way, as new features will need to be implemented into App functionality. Also, the home button may be eradicated in future IPhones! With ForceTouch functionality, it will bring up additional menus and options. Why have a home screen button when you can just press the screen instead?
